As an artist I wish to reach out and communicate to all walks of life via the universal language...art!

As much as I have tried to escape the realms of art, I find it impossible to ignore what I am...an artist. I have tried everything, things that have nearly cost me my life, but no matter what I do it always leads me back to art!

I call accepting this, ‘THE ENHUEMENT’, the reason for this? I have always felt the artistic urge but never accepted it until I had to face my own mortality and understanding. For everything I have experienced and learned, I found it necessary to express myself and share what comes from within. After much studying and investigation, my new found enlightenment finally dawned upon me after much deconstruction of my subject matter. I found the symbol (a petrol pump nozzle) to be a very potent power to utilise in my studies, as you can express a rich variety of narrative via metaphor; the symbol is the icon as well as the key.

Because of my participation in the first Gulf War 91, I began to look at what we were really fighting for...oil! This is where my artistic journey would begin...
